The San Jose City is in the province of Nueva Ecija. The main livelihood program in the province is agriculture. The city is the leading producer of onion or tanduyong. That is the reason why the city is the Onion Capital of the Philippines. The city is not only producing onion they also produce fruits, vegetable, and their main product is rice.

Every year the city celebrate the Tanduyong Festival during the month of April. The tanduyon is a onion that is produce in this city. During the festival there are a lot of dancer wearing colorful costume dancing in the street. The celebrate the festival for thanking for a blessed harvest.

The city is about 129,424 of population. The primary language of the city is tagalog. But there are even a lot more dialect they can speak. They can spoke  Ilocano, Pampango, Pangasinan, Bicol and Ilonggo. The city has only two season. The rainy season is during the month of May to November.  The dry season is the rest of the month.
